FCC AMATEUR RADIO LICENSE
ARRL VEC EXAMINATION
Date: February 27th, 2010   (Saturday)    
Time: 13:00 Local time   (The room will not be opened until 13:00)
Place: 46-7, Takinogawa 1-chome, Kita-ku, Tokyo
Takinogawa Higashi-Kumin Center : 3rd floor, #2 Hall.

Fees: US $15.00 (or equevelant Japanese Yen 1,500 depends on the exchange rate)

ARRL VEC TOKYO VE TEAM will hold a FCC's Amateur Radio License exam session on the above mentioned time and date. Technician, General and Amateur Extra Class license exams will be given. You must provide a mailing address in the U.S., and a FCC Registration Number (FRN) before taking the exam. Should you wish to take this exam, please send a Pre-Registration form and a SASE (Self Stamped Addressed Envelope; an 80 Yen stamp affixed) at your earliest convenience. If you currenly hold a FCC amateur radio license or have a valid CSCE, please send a photocopy of it/them also.

FRN (FCC Registration Number)

The application process requires either a Social Security Number (SSN) or FCC Registration Number (FRN). The FRN has been printed on amateur licenses issued in recent years. If you have other FCC licenses, you may have a FRN from that.
If you don't have a FRN yet, you can visit the following FCC website at http://wireless.fcc.gov/uls From this page click on the REGISTER button and follow the instructions to apply for a FRN. You can also use this page to check and see if you already have a FRN.
